Here are excerpts of a news release our publicist sent yesterday, with its headline:
Two Days Before First Anniversary Celebration Begins, Answers in Genesis’ State-of-the-Art Attraction Reaches Another Significant Milestone.I told the media in a press release:As Creation Museum staff members were busily preparing for their first anniversary celebration which gets under way on Friday, they took a moment to pause and recognize the museum’s 400,000th guest—one of the members of the Bill and Amy Michaletz family of Freemont, Wisconsin (near Appleton).
To recognize the occasion, the family was honored with a gift package from the museum and the Cincinnati USA Regional Tourism Network. This included a Premium Annual Family Pass to the Creation Museum, a $50 gift certificate to Noah’s Café, a $100 shopping spree in the museum’s bookstore, two Cincinnati Reds baseball tickets, two Cincinnati Zoo tickets, and two Newport Aquarium tickets.
After touring, the family remarked that the museum was “amazing.” They added that it was a “wonderful way for families to see the Bible come to life.” One of the sons (age 9) quickly chimed in: “The planetarium was awesome!”
“We are delighted to continue to welcome new visitors to the museum, and we are excited about the future as we continue to reach new people with the creation/gospel message.”I have included two photographs of our 400,000th guests. The photograph taken on the deck overlooking our three-acre lake shows the Michaletz family with Mike Zovath (VP of Museum Operations) on the left and me on the right. The other photograph shows Mike Zovath and myself standing with the family, and the rose plant presented to Mrs. Michaletz.
Wednesday was certainly a historic day for the Creation Museum and AiG ministry. AiG begins a week of celebrations this Friday for our one-year anniversary, with the opening of the Petting Zoo. In the evening, there will be two presentations of the musical Let The Rain Come (starring Buddy Davis and Geri Campbell) and then a spectacular fireworks display.
DEVOTION
Loved him and saidThanks for stopping by and thanks for praying.(Mar 10:21) Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.
God loves the lost thru us as we take time to behold their desperate state, and the response of love is to teach them how to get to heaven through the Lord Jesus.
