On this Good Friday, I thought the best entry for my blog would be to share with you a testimony I received today:
I recently attended a conference where you were the keynote speaker. You not only challenged me to think---you've changed my approach to preaching! "Thus sayeth the Lord, it is written, have ye not read..." - this will be my passion for the remainder of my ministry. Where I've not been faithful---I'm ready to repent before God.
I just wanted to thank you for your bold and accurate proclamation of the Word of God - especially the foundational truths in Genesis...Thank you again for blessing my heart and convicting my soul to be a man of the Word. Keep teaching this message with all diligence!!! And - may the God of our Lord Jesus Christ bless your ministry with great success to His glory.
This testimony made me think so much of my father. His favorite verses of Scripture were those that begin with "Thus says the Lord," "It is written," and "Have you not read".
A SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY
Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent [...] Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God. (Matthew 27:50, 51, 54)
I trust you all will have a blessed Easter.
Thanks for stopping by,
Ken
