Día Latino Attendance Doubles for 2014!

Recently, Answers in Genesis’s Worldwide Outreach and the Creation Museum celebrated the great success of their second annual Día Latino. The first Día Latino celebration took place on November 2, 2013, and the museum was pleasantly surprised to receive approximately 400 Spanish-speaking guests. This year, we prayed and planned for more, and the results were simply outstanding!

On Saturday morning, October 11, 2014, the buses came rolling in from North Carolina, Tennessee, New York, Indiana, Wisconsin, and all of the way from Ontario, Canada. We welcomed a total of approximately 800 Spanish-speaking guests who filled the Creation Museum. Seeing all these guests took us another step closer to the sight and sound of what our Worldwide Outreach is all about: every tribe and tongue!

Guests walked from one station to the next, listening to summaries from volunteers and translators in their native language. They made their way through the biblical history displays in the museum. Different chapters of Genesis were printed on various signs and placed in their respective rooms to help the guests make a connection to what they were experiencing in the exhibits. After a few hours of museum touring and after enjoying lunch in Noah’s Café, our guests filled the museum auditorium, Legacy Hall, for the climactic moment where they enjoyed a teaching in Spanish from Joe Owen, AiG’s Latin/Hispanic Ministry Manager. He delivered a talk about the origin of the supposed races. Everyone seemed to enjoy this talk, which gave them biblical perspective of the different people groups and languages in the world with an evangelistic, Christ-centered focus.

We are very thankful to the volunteers that shared AiG’s burden by coming alongside our staff and making sacrifices to join us to make this event an edifying, God-glorifying time for the Spanish-speaking community in the US and Canada as well!

We are amazed at what God has been and is doing through our Worldwide Outreach ministry, and we thank Him for it! Please prayerfully consider coming alongside us as we take the message of biblical authority to a world without footing to share the platform for understanding the exclusive gospel of Jesus Christ. We need your prayers as we provide weaponry to the local church throughout the world, for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:4–5).
