Dear Dr. Hamm,
I had the pleasure of seeing your presentation at Southeast Christian Church last fall and was pleased to hear you again tonight on the WHAS Joe Elliott Show. Your ministry has had a tremendous effect on my personal walk with Christ and you've inspired and equipped several wonderful people in our area to continue your work here in Louisville (ie. Ted Shulz and Tom Read.) I was your classic "Christian Evolutionist" for nearly 20 years. The church in which I was raised promoted the theory of Theistic Evolution and in my opinion was the root of many years of confusion and insecurity. It grieves me to hear so many people still so vehemently resistant to the truth as it is presented in Genesis. Many times I hear my old arguements being used and am aware of how transparent and flimsy I must have sounded.
Tonight, again I was impressed with your presentation on the radio program. This time not only with your incredible knowledge of the subject, but in the respectful, kind way in which you debated each of the callers. I still have much to learn in the finer art of pursuasion (ie. not finger pointing.) One final comment concerning a conversation held after you went off the air. One of the announcers (not Joe Elliott) came on to say that he didn't understand what all the "hype" was about. He figured that we are all here now and that should be enough. He went on to assure his listeners that he would surely find out the truth when he went to the "Great Here After." That, Dr. Hamm, was the one thing the announcer said that I know to be true!!!
My continued prayers are with you and your ministry. In Him, Jennifer
