Q: Do we need to register everyone in our family that is attending the College Expo?
A: No. Students are the only ones who need to be registered.
Q: Will I receive registration confirmation through the mail?
A: When the registration is complete, a registration confirmation should show up immediately on the screen (with an order number); an email confirmation will follow this. Be sure to keep your confirmation email.
Q: When and where do I check in?
A: Check-in starts Thursday, November 7, at 9:00 a.m. When you arrive at the Ark Encounter (1 Ark Encounter Dr., Williamstown, KY 41097), make your way to the ticket booth area. Show the Guest Services staff your printed or email confirmation on your phone. That will allow you to get on the shuttle bus that takes you to the Answers Center. If you do not have a printed or electronic copy of your registration confirmation, you will need to go to a ticket booth and let them know that you are registered for the College Expo, and they will find your name on the roster. When you arrive at the Answers Center, go through the gift shop, into the lobby, and check in at the table in front of the auditorium. You can check in at any point during the Expo.
Q: How do students get their free passes to the exhibits on the Ark Encounter?
A: The student’s name tag will be the admission into the Ark Encounter. Note: The free student Ark Encounter pass is only valid during the College Expo.
Q: How do parents, family members, and chaperones get their 20% discount passes to the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum?
A: Go to the ticket booth (at CM entrance, AE entrance, or Answers Center at AE). Show them the College Expo confirmation or your student’s lanyard/name tag to purchase your pass at a 20% discount. Students will also need to purchase a Creation Museum pass at a 20% discount.
Q: Do we need to attend all three days of the Expo?
A: No. You can attend for one, two, or three days. Many students can go through the hall and visit all college reps in one day. Others may want to take two days to go through the hall. You may want to plan to use at least one day to visit the Ark.
Q: What is the closest airport to the Ark Encounter/Answers Center?
A: The Greater Cincinnati/N. KY Airport (CVG) is located about 10 minutes from the Creation Museum and 45 minutes from Ark Encounter.
Q: Are there any discounts on hotels?
A: Our partner hotels offer special rates to Ark Encounter guests. To receive these rates, please book your hotel at arkencounter.com/places-to-stay.
Q: Is there a shuttle from the airport to the museum or the Ark?
A: No, there is no transportation provided from the airport. Some hotels may provide transportation to the Creation Museum, but you will need to check with your hotel. No transportation is provided to the Ark Encounter, and you will need to rent a car if you are flying in for the conference.
Q: Does registration for the Creation College Expo include meals?
A: You are on your own for meals. Food is sold in the Answers Center lobby, and Emzara’s Buffet (a favorite of many) is next to the Ark. There may also be other food vendors available.
