Give More to the Lord and Less to Taxes

We at Answers in Genesis are dedicated to our mission of boldly proclaiming the absolute truth and authority of the Bible, and delivering the message of the gospel, both individually and collectively. As part of this effort, our planned giving service works to help our supporters become better stewards of all that God has entrusted to them. Supporting the Lord’s work here at AiG helps reach others with the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ, thereby storing up treasures in heaven (Matthew 6:19–21).

Planned giving allows US supporters to give creatively and often allows for substantial tax savings. For example, if you have invested or inherited stock and you wish to sell some of it, you can make a charitable gift to AiG of this stock and receive a charitable deduction on the gifted shares. This helps avoid or offset the often high capital gains tax on the sold stock.

One way to give stock is through a Gift and Sale plan. This means that part of the stock is sold with the proceeds going to you, and part is gifted to AiG. This allows you to both receive the charitable tax deduction and offset capital gains tax—a double benefit. And you also get to be part of what God is doing here at AiG, spreading the message of biblical authority and the gospel. So really, it’s a triple benefit with an eternal impact.
