Honored Again: AiG Website Wins Major Award

Petersburg, KY, January 6, 2012—For the second time in six years, Answers in Genesis—the ministry behind the renowned Creation Museum—has won the prestigious “Best Ministry Website” award from the 1,200 member NRB (National Religious Broadcasters).

“This award is presented to the website of a ministry that shows excellence in design and content, is creative in presentation, and is helping fulfill the ministry’s mission,” declared Dr. Frank Wright, president and CEO of the National Religious Broadcasters. “Not only is www.AnswersInGenesis.org attractive and easy-to-use, but its true hallmark is that AiG posts several new items to its site every day and they all relate to proclaiming the Bible’s accuracy and authority.”

Ken Ham, co-founder and CEO of AiG, paid tribute to his web team at Thursday’s staff chapel.

“One of the reasons we receive about 1 million web visitors a month is that we have a hard-working, creative team that refreshes our website every 24 hours with excellent content,” Ham said. “They are committed to proclaiming the authority of the Bible from the very first verse.”

“Even being nominated in this website category along with a well-known organization like Focus on the Family is a huge blessing,” Ham added.

“I am amazed that Ken manages to write 365 blogs a year, often providing in-depth commentary on biblical truths,” Wright said.

At Thursday’s AiG staff chapel, Ham announced that there is “even more to come” at AnswersInGenesis.org as AiG adds new web features and updates the site’s technology.

The “Best Ministry Website” award will be publically presented to AiG on February 21 at a ceremony held at NRB’s national convention in Nashville, TN, at the famed Opryland Hotel.

Answers in Genesis is a biblical apologetics ministry which conducts about 300 teaching meetings each year, publishes the growing family magazine “Answers,” and produces the “Answers” radio program heard on more than 600 stations in the U.S. Its Creation Museum, which opened near Cincinnati in 2007 to much international press coverage, has welcomed 1.5 million visitors in 4 ½ years. AiG is now raising funds for a full-size, evangelistic Noah’s Ark.
