Prayer Requests and Praises, July 2012

When we come before God in prayer, we should inspect our hearts and ask for the Holy Spirit to reveal any sins we may be clinging to. The writer of Psalm 66:18 said, “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear.” As you pray, consider the state of your heart. Are you allowing bitterness, greed, or any other sin to remain? When we confess and forsake our sins and bring requests before the Lord, we can say with the psalmist, “Certainly God has heard me; He has attended to the voice of my prayer” (Psalm 66:19). God’s people have the awesome privilege of praying to a God who hears and answers us in love.

Answers Bible Curriculum

After years of dedicated work by several AiG staff, the first part of Answers Bible Curriculum is now available for churches nationwide to purchase and begin using in their Sunday school and discipleship programs! Praise God for this monumental accomplishment, and please continue to pray for the development team as it works hard to produce more top-quality material for the upcoming quarters.

Kingdom Chronicles VBS

This month heralds the release of next year’s medieval-themed VBS website, The Kingdom Chronicles. Like all Answers VBS programs, the goal is to take children on a truth-filled adventure through Scripture. This time, the focus is on the battle between God’s good kingdom and the Enemy’s evil kingdom, teaching kids to discern between truth and error. Praise the Lord for this tremendous opportunity to present God’s Word to many thousands of young people each year. Please pray that churches across the nation (and the world) would prepare to use The Kingdom Chronicles in their VBS outreaches next year, and that many young people will take to heart what they learn about God and His Word.

Proclaiming the Faith Conference

This week, several hundred people are gathering in Branson, Missouri, for five days packed with biblical teaching and family bonding at our Proclaiming the Faith conference. Please pray for the speakers to clearly and powerfully present the messages God has laid on their hearts, and pray that attendees of all ages will be strengthened in their faith.

London Olympics Outreach

The Olympic Games will be held in London, England, starting late next week, and AiG’s outreach to the huge crowds of people who will gather there will start during the second week of the Games. Critical preparations are under way, so please pray for the staff of AiG–UK and Answers Worldwide as they work through the details of planning. Remember also to pray that even now God will prepare the hearts of the thousands of people who will receive AiG witnessing booklets and materials at the Olympics outreach this year. We are asking God to work mightily and bring hundreds of new believers to follow Christ through these efforts.

Ark Encounter

Please ask God to provide the necessary funds in His time for building the full-size wooden Ark in northern Kentucky. This evangelistic centerpiece of the Ark Encounter project will be a tool to reach millions with the truth of God’s Word and the message of salvation.
