What’s behind much of the modern environmental movement, especially the panic around climate change? Well, it’s the idea that mankind is God.
You see, in that view, there’s nothing beyond us: humans are gods and we have the authority and the ability to control everything—even the climate!
But we aren’t God. And the one true God, who created both us and this planet, has promised in Genesis that the seasons will continue as long as earth endures. In other words, climate change isn’t going to destroy earth or humanity.
In his pride, mankind thinks he can be God. But we’re not—the one true God is the one in ultimate control.
