Where did language come from? Well, in the evolutionary worldview, languages evolved over time as mankind slowly learned to communicate. Did that happen just once or many times? Well, they don’t know.

Now what they do know is today’s seven thousand languages came from about one hundred language families. And the Bible’s history explains those language families. Genesis says God divided mankind at Babel, creating around—you ready for this?—one hundred new languages. Over time, those one hundred languages have become all the languages spoken today.
