Have you ever heard a sermon on Genesis chapter 11? Most Christians haven’t, and yet this event is important for properly understanding the world around us.
Okay, what account is found in Genesis 11? The Tower of Babel! After Noah’s flood, all of mankind was gathered in one place, rebelling against God. So God confused their languages, forcing them to spread around the earth. It’s this event that gave rise to different civilizations and people groups around the world. So we’re all one race, but there’s people groups because of Babel.
Yes, the Bible’s history really is the key for understanding the world around us!
