What was Jesus like as a child? A teenager? What happened in all the years before his public ministry began? Christians today aren’t the first to wonder about the parts of Jesus’ life the Bible doesn’t comment on. People in the past wondered too, and some of them even wrote books about it.
Now some people claim these “Gospels” were arbitrarily left out of the Bible. But these Gospels don’t match the Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, often contradicting them. And they contain Gnostic teaching, or “hidden knowledge,” that the Bible explicitly rejects in many New Testament letters.
We are not missing Gospels from the Bible.
