This week we’re looking at how to discern false teaching. We’ve seen we must compare all teaching to God’s Word, also take a close look at the fruit. Well, we can also look at the heart behind a teaching.

Scripture says false teachers will “follow their sensuality.” Does the heart behind a teaching encourage sin and lust of the flesh? Many teachers today won’t teach on sin. Some even claim that what the Bible says is sin, isn’t sin. This is part of “following their sensuality”—doing what they want to do, just changing the Bible when it says otherwise.

But if a message is from God, it will spur us to righteousness!
