Gender—A Social Construct?

Do male and female exist? Many people today say “no”—that there’s really no such thing. Gender, they say, is just a social construct and maleness or femaleness are all about how you feel—and you may not feel like either of those!

But is that the truth? No. You see, God originally created two people: Adam and Eve. In Genesis we read that God specifically created them “male and female.” He designed two genders and called them “very good.”

And this didn’t change with the fall—Genesis five states again that we’re made male and female.

Since God created us, we can’t redefine gender!
