Transcript

During Christ’s day, a tower collapsed, killing eighteen people. When Jesus spoke of this event, he gave an answer to the question of why God allows tragedies but it’s maybe not the answer you expect.

Jesus said, “Or those eighteen who died when the tower in Siloam fell on them—do you think they were more guilty than all the others? I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.”

You see, bad things that happen to people aren’t always related to personal sin. But all of us suffer and die because of sin. Instead of blaming God for tragedies, Jesus says we need to repent and turn to the only one who can save us from eternal suffering—himself.
