This week we’re in a series on the development of an unborn baby. Today we’re looking at an eleven-week-old baby.
By this stage, the baby is moving around. And fingernail beds, tooth buds, and a tongue are forming.
It’s around this stage that many women will opt for certain screenings. These screenings tell the parents if the baby is at risk for a variety of chromosomal abnormalities. Sadly, based on these often very inaccurate tests, many parents will choose to end their baby’s life because he or she just might have a disability.
But every life has value . . . and that isn’t determined by our level of ability. It’s given to us by the God who formed us.
