I call evolution “the religion of death.” You see, a religion can be defined as a system of belief “held to with ardor and faith”—and that’s accurate for evolution. It’s man’s attempt to explain everything apart from God. And in this religion, the death of billions and billions of creatures over billions of years finally led to man—you can see why I call it a religion of death!

But Genesis gives us the true history. Death is a consequence of our sin. But Jesus, the God-man, came and paid the penalty of our sin for us when he died on the cross and then rose again. Everyone who repents and trusts in him alone for salvation receives new and eternal life with Christ.
