Why does it matter what you believe about Genesis? Well, because it’s a question of authority—will we start with God’s Word or man’s word?

You see, God’s Word is clear: God created supernaturally in six twenty-four-hour days. Genesis 1, Exodus 20:11, and the New Testament writers all affirm a literal Genesis and a young earth.

When we take man’s ideas about origins and add them into the Bible, we’re really making fallible humans the authority. But they weren’t there, don’t know everything, and frequently make mistakes. But the perfect, infallible God never lies.

We can trust the perfect God and his perfect Word from the very first verse.
