We live in a very secular culture in the West. People just don’t know what sin is, or why they’re sinners, or why they need a Savior.
So, how can we share the gospel in this context?
Well, we have to start in Genesis. You see, God created a perfect world, free from death. But the first people God created, Adam and Eve, rebelled against God—that’s called sin. And the penalty for sin is death. That’s why we all die!
But Jesus, the God-man, came to earth and died on the cross in our place. He took our penalty of death for us. Then he rose again . . . and now offers eternal life to all who will turn from their sin and put their faith in him.
