Many people think fossils take a long time to form. But they don’t! All this week we’re looking at examples of fossils that clearly formed quickly.
Yesterday we saw a squid-like creature buried with its dinner. Today we’re looking at another type of creature—one with a soft body—that we find buried in rock layers: jellyfish!
Jellyfish are entirely made of soft parts. Now, if one washes up on a beach, it disappears within just a few hours. And yet we find fossil jellyfish. Well, how?
Well, they had to be buried quickly—while the jellyfish were still alive. What could do that? Well, the global flood of Noah’s day! It would’ve rapidly buried billions of creatures.
