Who defines marriage? Well, that depends on where it comes from. If marriage just evolved, then we get to define it however we want. But, if God created marriage, then only he gets to define it.
Genesis tells us that God created us male and female. Then he brought Adam and Eve, together in marriage. Genesis says that the “two become one flesh.”
Jesus reaffirmed this truth when he was asked about marriage. He quoted from Genesis, affirming marriage is between one man and one woman … for life.
We can’t define marriage however we want. God defined it—one man and one woman. Not two men, not two women, not three or four people—one man … and one woman.
