A Giant “Red” Testimony of the Flood

Ayers Rock is a massive red sandstone rock formation in the center of Australia. It’s best known for sticking out of the flat landscape like a giant red thumb. But it has some other unique qualities.

The sandstone layers that make up Ayers Rock are tilted at about eighty degrees. And the sand grains came from at least sixty-three miles away. And under the microscope, these grains are jagged. They clearly weren’t smoothly worn from long periods in water.

Also, the sand wasn’t even floating in water long enough to be sorted by size!

So, what could be responsible for such rapid deposition?

Well, the Bible gives the answer—the catastrophic Noah’s flood!
