When we consider the sanctity of human life, we immediately think of abortion. We think of the over sixty million children in America who’ve lost their lives to abortion. It’s a huge issue, and it demands our attention.

But our “culture of death” isn’t content just with the murder of unborn children. We’re seeing assisted suicide—and euthanasia—becoming increasingly common. The purposeful death of the elderly, sick, or disabled is seen as “compassionate” … and even “merciful.” But it’s murder. It’s the intentional killing of someone made in God’s image.

We don’t have the authority to decide who lives and who dies. That belongs to God alone.
