This is Ken Ham, and our popular Ark Encounter attraction is located in Northern Kentucky.
Some Christians believe there’s a gap of time between the first two verses of Genesis. In this “gap,” they insert millions of years.
Now, this idea has a lot of problems, and here’s a huge one: it puts death before sin. Think about it: if the fossil record is millions of years old, then death has always been around. All the attempts to fit millions of years into Scripture have this same problem.
Really, they’re undermining the gospel message. Instead of death being the penalty for sin, it’s just something that was part of God’s “very good” creation. But that’s not in Scripture.
Death is the penalty for sin—an intruder into God’s perfect creation.
