This is Ken Ham, author, speaker, and blogger on science and the Bible’s reliability.
Different cultures all around the world have similar stories. Here’s an example: “A man builds a boat, puts his family and animals on it, and there’s a flood.” Now, does that sound familiar?
It probably does because the true version comes from the Bible. But societies around the globe have distorted versions of this account.
So where did all these different cultures get these stories? Well, the Bible says there really was a worldwide flood. And, after the flood, people spread over the earth. They took their memory of the flood with them … and told their kids.
Eventually, the truth got distorted. But their stories came from the memory of a real event, the event that’s recorded in God’s Word.
