I was taught in school that, as a baby develops in the mother’s womb, the baby goes through stages that reflect its evolutionary past. And last year, a study claimed that human embryos go through a lizard stage.

So this false idea’s still around!

But it was disproved a long time ago. It was based on fraudulent artwork. And yet it’s still taught in many textbooks!

We don’t go through a lizard stage—or any other evolutionary stage. Our DNA has the unique instructions to build a human being. When we study a baby growing the womb, we’re looking at how it develops. We’re not studying our evolutionary history.

Evolution needs to be retired—forever!
