Yesterday we celebrated the birth of our Savior, the Lord Jesus. But how do we know Jesus came as the babe in a manger … or was born of a virgin … or visited by shepherds? Well, ultimately, we know these things because the Bible tells us they really happened. Because we can trust God’s Word, we can believe the historical accounts that it records.

But why is it that so many Christians won’t trust what God’s Word records in Genesis? Instead of believing those first chapters, like they do the Gospels, they try to reinterpret what it says. They ultimately trust sinful, fallible humans over God and his infallible Word.
