A Living Fossil

All this week we’re looking at creatures that simply “forgot to evolve.” What do I mean? Well, we find many different creatures living today that look exactly like their counterparts in the fossil record. Even after the supposed millions of years, these creatures never evolved!
Take one genus of “paper wasps.” Now fossils of this wasp are found in rocks believed to be millions of years old. And yet the fossil looks like it could’ve been buried yesterday—it’s identical to living paper wasps!
So did these wasps forget to evolve? Of course not. Each of the kinds was created by God at the very beginning.
And the fossils? Well, they were buried during Noah’s flood, just a few thousand years ago.
