So how do you determine what's true? Well, ultimately there are only two authorities and you have to choose which one you trust. One is man. You see, if you only listen to experts or certain religous leaders, your trusting in man, your allowing them to be your authority. But they make mistakes and don't know everything.

The other foundation is God's word. God knows everything and he never makes a mistake. His word is reliable and always true. A foundation for our thinking. Now this doesn't mean we can't listen to experts, we can but we must compare everything they say to God's word.

They aren't the ultimate authority, God is.
