When Mount St. Helens erupted in 1980, geologists watched brand-new rock form from lava flows. Now eventually, they dated this ten-year-old rock.

Now, dating methods are generally trusted by the scientific community. But, if they’re accurate, they should give the correct ages for rocks of known ages. But the ten-year-old rock gave an age of three hundred and fifty thousand years! And the minerals inside the rock they dated at 2.4 million years!

If we can’t trust the ages for rocks of known age, why should we trust dates for rocks of unknown ages? Let’s trust God’s Word about history instead!
