Worshipping Creation?

Romans chapter one talks about people worshipping and serving the creature rather than the Creator. Well, that’s a good description of many environmentalists today.
They give “mother earth” a god-like status, claiming we all came from earth, and so we need to take care of her. Now in this view, we’re just animals, like the rest of the creatures.
Now, this week we’ve learned that Christians should care for creation because God cares for it … and has given us dominion over it. Now, that’s a very different perspective!
Absolutely, Christians need to care for the earth. But let’s have a balanced approach … one that recognizes we’re of more value than animals, because we’re made in God’s image.
