A common argument against a Creator is this question: why is nature full of death and suffering? As one person famously put it, nature is “red in tooth and claw.” Red with blood, that is. Why?
Well, the Bible explains why. God’s original creation was perfect. There was no death or suffering in it. Animals and men were originally vegetarian and lived in harmony. But Adam sinned against God, and his choice broke creation.
Actually, it’s only because the Bible is true that we can say death and suffering are bad. In an evolutionary view, they’re just the means of moving evolution forward.
But we look forward to the day when God will restore His creation.
