It’s a Battle over Starting Points

Many people think of the creation/evolution issue as a battle over “the evidence.” They think creationists have one pile of evidence, and evolutionists have another stack. But that’s not the way it works.

The real battle is over the exact same evidence. Creationists and evolutionists live in the same world and study the same rocks, fossils, DNA, animals, and galaxies.

But we come to two very different interpretations of the evidence due to two very different starting points.

Creationists start with the eyewitness account of history, given to us by God. Evolutionists start with man’s ideas about what happened in the past.

It’s on a foundational level where the real battle rages.
