Transcript

Yesterday we learned the idea of a local flood of Noah’s day comes from outside the Bible. But when we start with the Bible, it’s clear—the flood was global.

Genesis tells us that during the flood, all the high hills were covered with water. How is this possible if it wasn’t a global flood? And why did Noah need to build an Ark? The animals, birds, and even Noah and his family could’ve just moved out of the area.

Also, how could every land-dwelling thing be destroyed? A local flood wouldn’t destroy everything.

And God said he’d never send another flood like it, but there’ve been thousands of local floods since then.

The idea of a local flood, it ignores the Bible’s clear teaching. It was global.
