Some researchers say there are flood stories that existed before the book of Genesis was written. So, scholars claim the Bible just copied from these ancient flood myths.
Well, for Christians this thinking really isn’t an option. God’s Word reads as history. It was authored by the God, who doesn’t lie. So we know the Bible’s account of the flood is true, as the evidence suggests.
Ancient myths about the flood contain legendary details and trivial reasons for why the gods flooded the earth. And the weird-shaped arks in the myths would never float. But the biblical ark is the perfect dimensions.
The Bible—not the ancient myths—records the true account of history.
