In Genesis chapter one we read that God created everything to reproduce according to its kind. Now, this tells us something about biology: one kind of living thing can’t turn into another! But according to evolutionary ideas, a single-celled organism turned into all the kinds we have today—including bananas, bumblebees, and bears.
So which model does biology confirm?
Well, we observe that organisms produce more organisms like themselves. There can be a great deal of variety within that kind. Bears still produce bears, and cats ...cats, finches …finches. In other words—they reproduce according to their kinds just as we’d expect, based on the Bible.
