Now when Neanderthals were first discovered, they were considered brutish. Why? Because of evolutionary expectations. Some Christians tried to say they were a pre-human, soulless race—before God breathed the breath of life into a modern human, Adam.

But research has shown the early view of Neanderthals is totally wrong! They buried their dead, wore make-up and jewelry, and played music. They even sailed across the Mediterranean Sea and explored new islands! These people were clearly fully human.

Now, the Bible tells us we’re all descended from Adam and Eve—this means Neanderthals were too! They were totally human!
