Transcript

The moon’s gravitational pull creates a “tidal bulge” on earth. Now, this causes the moon to spiral slowly outwards, away from us. So in the past, the moon was closer than it is now.

If you believe in billions of years of history, this is a big problem. Less than one and a half billion years ago, the moon would’ve been touching the earth. But if the moon were even remotely that close, gravity would’ve shattered it. We shouldn’t still have our moon. It should either have drifted away or been shattered.

But the Bible says God created the moon on day four of the creation week, just a few thousand years ago. Since then, the moon has only moved about 900 feet.

So, our moon, well, it’s young!
