Now this week we’ve seen that we must test everything we hear against God’s Word. And to watch for the fruit of the teaching and look at the heart behind the teaching.

Finally, the Bible warns us that false teachers won’t endure “sound teaching.”

It’s not that false teachers merely downplay sound doctrine—they won’t endure it! They can’t stand what the Bible actually says about who God is, what sin is, what it says about repentance—plus judgment, and salvation. Instead, they invent their own God who likes what they like … and hates what they hate.

And, as I’ve said before, the only way we can recognize those who won’t endure sound teaching is by knowing God and his Word!
