If evolution is true, then we’re still evolving, and we’re the only hope for our species and our planet. That’s why many people really worship the earth—to them, this is all there is. And we’re the only hope to save the planet from ourselves.

But in a biblical worldview, the ultimate problem isn’t pollution or climate change or extinction. The problem is sin.

It’s because of our sin that the world groans, that people exploit creation, and it’s ultimately why we die. But we’re not the answer! Our hope is in Jesus Christ. He came to take our penalty of death for us. And someday all who trust in him will live forever in the new heavens and new earth.
