Transcript

When Jesus talked about events and people—such as creation, Adam and Eve, Lot, Jonah, and more—he always treated them as real people and real events. And when Jesus spoke of the Flood, he compared the reality of this past judgment to the reality of his coming judgment on sin.

Jesus said, “As in the days of Noah so it will be when the Son of Man comes.” But if the Flood judgment was just a regional flood, as some Christians argue, then how can Jesus compare the two? The coming judgment isn’t just a local judgment. Jesus will judge and put an end to all sin—just as God did at the time of Noah.

The comparison only works because Genesis is history and the Flood was global.
