Transcript

In the book of Judges, we read about a time when “everyone did what was right in their own eyes.” This is the kind of world we live in today.

In the past, America was a Christianized nation. That’s not to say everyone was a Christian, but people more or less started their thinking with a Christianized worldview. That’s just not the case anymore.

We now live in a time where we think we set the rules. And, of course, if sinful, fallible human beings are the standard for morality, then sin is going to be normalized. As the prophet Isaiah put it, people will call bitter sweet, and sweet bitter.

We can’t look to our culture for our morality. We must go to God’s perfect Word.
