“Euthanasia” is the idea that those who’re severely handicapped—or terminally ill—should be legally allowed to end their lives. This idea’s gaining popularity. Some countries have even legalized euthanasia for children.

What does God’s Word say about this practice?

Well, euthanasia is really an attempt to “be as gods,” just like the temptation Adam and Eve were given. But we’re not God and we have no “right” to try and be gods. The Bible makes it clear that the taking of an innocent life is murder. Euthanasia, under the guise of compassion and mercy, is really murder.

Life is precious and life and death belong to God.
