Christians who stand for biblical marriage are increasingly being labelled “bigots” or even “a hate group.” But does standing against sinful behaviors automatically make you hateful and intolerant? Can we be loving and still be opposed to these things?
Well, the Bible tells us that God is love. Now, it also describes homosexual relations as an abomination to the Lord. If God—who is the very one who defines love because he is love—can be loving, yet call homosexual behavior a sin, so can his followers.
There’s nothing hateful about pointing out sin—it’s actually the loving thing to do! We want to see people repent and put their faith in Christ and be saved for eternity.
