This is Ken Ham, inviting you to visit our popular life-size Noah’s Ark in Northern Kentucky.
Yesterday we learned that Jesus has always existed since eternity past. But some people will argue that Jesus is really a created being. They get this from the Book of Colossians where Paul says Jesus is the “firstborn of all creation.” But the Greek word Paul chose for “firstborn” doesn’t refer to “first created.” There’s a perfectly good word for “first created,” but that’s not the word he used.
Instead, Paul chose a word used to designate authority. So, by saying Jesus is the “firstborn of all creation,” he’s really saying Jesus is the “absolute ruler over all creation.”
In the next verse, Paul says that “all things” were made through Jesus Christ.
