Transcript

Many Christians have bought into evolutionary thinking about Adam. Some say Adam wasn’t a historical person but a descendant of some ape-like ancestor.

But Genesis tells us God formed Adam from dust. Could this dust be a simpler way of saying “ape-like creature?” Of course not. You see, after sin, God specifically said to Adam that work will be hard until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. You came from dust and you will return to dust.

Now, we don’t return to an ape-like creature when we die!

And the Apostle Paul even mentioned that we came from dust. This is when Paul contrasted the corruption of Adam’s body and the body of Jesus.

Adam was historical.
