Transcript

Tomorrow marks the 500th anniversary of the Reformation. Now, the Reformation was the response to many unbiblical doctrines and practices that had crept into the church. The reformers urged the church to return to the authority of God’s Word instead of man’s ideas.

One of the cries of the reformers was “Scripture alone” You see, they recognized the importance of relying on God’s Word. Human tradition and ideas aren’t a reliable source of truth. We are all sinful and fallible.

But the Bible is the authoritative Word from our Creator. It is “God-breathed,” “living and active,” “truth” that will never pass away.

When we rely on God’s Word we have a firm foundation.
