Today is Labor Day here in America. It is a day off work to relax and enjoy family. But, of course, the name reminds us what we are not doing—working! Well, today be reminded of our labor for the Lord.

It is easy to get discouraged when we see all the unbiblical, sinful attitudes and actions overwhelming our culture. We should be saddened and even angered by the acceptance and promotion of sins like gay “marriage,” abortion, violence, and racism.

But we should also have hope. As a Christian, we have the life-changing message our culture desperately needs—the free gift of salvation offered in the gospel. This Labor Day—and every day—let us labor for the Lord and tell others about Him.
