Many people picture Noah’s Ark as a cute little boat, overloaded with creatures and a smiling Noah. That is the picture they have seen on Sunday school walls and in children’s Bibles. But that is not what the Ark looked like!

The Bible describes a massive wooden ship. It was 510 feet long, 85 feet wide, and 51 feet high. There was more than enough room for the animals.

We need to teach our children that the history in God’s Word actually happened. The Ark was a real ship that survived a real Flood. Instead of cute drawings that make the account look like a fairytale, we need to show the Ark as it actually was—it was a massive ship that really saved mankind from the floodwaters.
