Choosing Our Gender?

There is lots of confusion about gender in our culture right now. We are constantly told that anyone can be whatever he or she wants to be, and that gender is a spectrum, rather than two distinctions. In the midst of all this confusion, thankfully we can look to God’s Word for solid answers.

In Genesis, we read, “God created male and female.” Jesus affirmed this in the New Testament when He was asked about marriage. He quoted Genesis and said, “God created them male and female.”

Gender isn’t a spectrum or a social construct. We are distinctly male and female because God designed us that way from the beginning. We can’t decide what we want to be. We need to look to God’s Word.
